LJ SCOTT
Tethered was founded by LJ Scott a digital strategist, online-safety advocate, and parent with over 20 years of hands on experience supporting young people, families and organisations in the digital world.
LJ’s background spans real world digital strategy consulting, working directly inside the National Cyber Resilience Centre and the global open-source intelligence community Trace Labs, where she helped organisations understand risk, behaviour and online harm. This frontline experience gives Tethered a grounded, practical view of the challenges young people face online not just in theory, but in reality.
Alongside her cyber and digital work, LJ also founded Wildhood, a programme dedicated to creating spaces where children can build confidence, creativity and community through play, challenge and adventure. Her commitment to children’s wellbeing runs through everything she does.
As both a parent and a digital professional, LJ deeply understands the opportunities and the pressures the online world brings. She believes adults shouldn’t feel left behind or helpless and that young people shouldn’t face digital life alone.
Her mission is simple:
To help adults and children reconnect, communicate, and navigate the digital world together with clarity, confidence and compassion.
LJ holds a BSc in Behavioural Sciences and an MA in Cyber Crime and Terrorism, grounding Tethered’s approach in lived experience, academic insight and real human understanding.
